The doctors and all members of the practice team welcome you to the Ongar Health Centre. Our aim is to listen carefully and to provide the best and most appropriate care either within this practice or by referral to another member of the primary health care team or a hospital clinic.
This website has been designed to tell you about the practice and the services that we offer. Please read it carefully. We trust that you will find it helpful and informative.
The surgery telephone lines
are open throughout our normal working hours of
8.00 am - 6:30 pm Monday to Friday.
We are closed on weekends and Bank Holidays.
The surgery doors are open from 08.00 am to 6.30 pm. Appointments are for 10 minutes and are available during the hours listed below. To see a doctor or nurse, please telephone us or come into the surgery to book an appointment.

The dispensary opening hours are Mon-Fri 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm. If you need to obtain medicines urgently please speak to one of our dispensers.
Extended hours. The
surgery is taking part in the national initiative to offer consultations outside
of our usual hours.
These appointments are available between 6:30pm to 8:00pm on
Tueday and 7:00am to 8:50am on Wednesday. They must
be pre-booked with a
GP or nurse, and the normal surgery services will not be
available during these times.
